Poster

I wanted to use the smae clour scheme on my poster that i used on my digipak. I wanted to do this particulary to achieve the element of continuity. The poster contains a dark black background along with a blue theme aswell.

I recieved feedback on the the poster from Mr ford first. In my draft poster I had the large blue pattern imgae across the whole of my poster, but Mr ford suggested that I made this smaller and agin focus more on the Empire Colours brand name along with the album name which is called 'Something Simple'. This was again to promote the brand name rather than the artistic feel and design of the poster.

Mr Ford also told me to enlarge the record label on the poster as he thought it was rather too small. In turn I did this to try and ensure my poster looked legit.

After taking on board what Mr Ford stated, I asked around my friends and family for there thoughts and opinons on the poster, overall I recieved a very postive responce but there was a number of small elements that they believed I should make adjustments too.

These were that of the centralisation of the text and that i needed to make the text bigger to ensure that it was the focal point of the poster. I took action from this feedback and tried to dvert what they had said about the text into my poster directly.

Also on my poster that I presented to my family and friends the date was very large like it was in my final poster in the end. I wanted to make this a very large element of my poster as it presented when the labum was going to be released.
